He's still the tribe leader's disciple and was given permission to side with the opposing guild so he was able to leave the egg with the one horned tribe without worry. If I remember correctly, he left it with the one horned tribe elders so they could continue there research.

he left the egg with the one horned tribe because even though the egg keeps getting bigger it wouldn't hatch. it would be hard for him to carry a 4 meter tall, 3 meter wide egg through the trials so thats another reason. the elders of the village are looking for ways to hatch it and why it wont hatch- yeonwoo is also looking for things to give the egg so that it could be more powerful
