Hmm so The Duke is your typical persistent , obsessive and delusion ex . He thinks that Nivea would get back with him if it wasn't for the ML and he thinks that she will be unable to love the ml . He tries to break them apart. When Nivea will move to Joachim's Kingdom there will be a lot of political power play. Duke gets involved with Joachim's Empress-Mother and plans different schemes to break ml and FL marraige. I don't really remember the schemes in detail so won't be mentioning them to ruin you guys experience. But yea the couple def becomes stronger compared to what the Duke wanted since Ml and FL were there for each other.
