Both Hideo-san and Tomohisa lived to a ripe old age. There is a scene with both of them at a hospice and Hideo- san is laying on a bed in his old age. Tomohisa looks at him and smiles and says "Thank you Hideo-san, for staying beside me all these years". Hideo-san looks at Tomohisa with love in his eyes and smiles and then closes his eyes and passes from this world. Tomohisa kisses his forehead and at that moment a nurse enters the room notices that her charge has passed and says "I'll call the doctor" and leaves. Tomohisa then lays down beside Hideo-san holds his hands put his head on his shoulder and goes to sleep and never wakes. At their graves which are side by side stands Kuzumi who looks at them and reads their head stone which says "we shall never be parted". He smiles lights incense for them and turns to see his grand children calling for him and laughing. The final scene is of Hideo and Tomohisa holding hands and walking into the after life where Hideo's grandmother sits waiting and they both say at the same time..."We're home".
I couldnt accept the other ending. I just couldnt. So this is how it ended. Please accept it and do not read 8.1
