I had to go back and look at the chapter, I could be wrong but from what I took from it was Melissa was over doin it, Yuri kept tellin her to stop but Melissa insisted she could keep goin so Yuri probly knocked her out when she had the chance so she wouldn't make herself worse.
Also Yuri knows what happens in the storyline so when Melissa was the one who saved her and not the prince, I wanna say, she was happy and knew somethin was different with the storyline so knew she had protect Melissa if she wanted to get out of that loop.
But this is all speculation I could be completely wrong ╮(￣▽￣)╭
