I never said I hated the comic or that the story was bad... Just a bit upset that he wasn’t the bottom but that’s not the comics fault or the creators fault (they can make whoever they want as the uke/seme). The story seems nice, definitely my type of romance story but I’m just saying my opinion that I hoped one of the characters was the uke. (And if I’m coming for the sexy parts that’s not something to attack about either...)

It's more like a self insert? At least for me, if there's a character that's my type I tend to self insert myself as the other character, subconsciously. And if the character that is my type is a bottom then ig it makes me feel like I'm the one making love? (it sounds weird haha) But if you follow some nsfw artists that do M/M and have a favorite character within a ship they tend to make their favorite character a bottom. I think that goes along with the self insertion thing. I just started noticing that with myself. (But another thing that made me sad was that I've been noticing stereotypes in who is the bottom and who is the top and it happened with this one too. But that is another topic that I can discus about but it's too long ahhh. I can see why my comment might have seemed bad but if ppl weren't so keen to attack and maybe have a conversation about it then they might understand where I'm coming from too.)

Sorry for being snipy in my reply but there are so many comments like yours on manwhas but they're meant in fetistic way that treat gay men like objects and that's were I thought you were coming from. It's really tiring when these comments appear en mass on manwhas that aren't BL (like action comics) but people unhealthy obsess about wanting them to be BL or on BL that's really well written with thoughtful plots and someone just asks repeatedly who the seme and uke are /when they'll have sex because that's the only bit they're interest in - ignoring all the work that the author who has spent years planning the manwha. I've also seen questions on here more than once from girls asking about how to turn their brothers gay because they just want to have someone gay in their life because they think it'll be so much fun because they've fetishized it that much. For them it's like knowing someone who is gay or reading about someone who is gay is the latest fashion accessory. There's nothing wrong with reading the smutty stuff as fap material (I do that myself!) but It's just disturbing when there's a general strong objectification that's applied to everything that just happens to have two guys in it.
I also agree there are so many stereotypes (often misogynistic in origin) about bottoms in BL.
