Kyon and Lucaon have a very toxic relationship. More than the BL plot it focuses on 'hunter' stuff. Mid way it got really boring when Ryan was sus. Overall it never explained why did Lucaon chose to have sex with Kyon in the first place?? Like it was soo random it could've been anyone. Kyon is just an idiot, after being so physically and mentally abused by Lucaon he still chooses to stay coz of that "one look" he gave. Royal Blood concept was nice but too elaborated with whole Cecilia, Ryan, and why the fuck is Logan still alive? ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭

I say this respectfully. What do ya think toxic is?? A master-servant relationship should give ya inking enough what to expect. I personally liked the dynamic and even liked the start ya term as 'toxic'. I liked what I read. If ya think any content is toxic or too much to take, then it's not for ya to read. If this would have started with Kyon and Lucan being lovey dovey and fluffy, I would have dropped it. The so called start that ya call 'toxic' is what makes this one of my best reads. It's one of the things that makes this manga different and got me hooked up to see how their relationship develops. Just because a relationship is not according to ur norms doesn't make it toxic. "Mentally and physically abused", lmao, do ya think Kyon thinks this way?? Am pretty sure he liked what was happening, just wanted more emotions from Lucaon. And he got that in the end. Did ya even feel what ya were reading?
    Conclusion: Refrain from reading.

Are you crazy? Someone can consume media while still realizing it's toxic.

First off let's talk about the blatant abuse that went down very early on. Lycaon (or however you spell his name) basically forced sexual acts on Kyon, and he endured it due to affections. Whether you want to acknowledge it or not it is harmful, and toxic because this is a r@pe fantasy, that someone will endure sexual abuse due to love.

Any reader early on could recognize that it is toxic, the master/servant dynamic may help, but that alone is not toxic. It's tropes used. A bottom being obsessed with a top, and them being okay with sexual abuse due to that affection.

You have no right to say "it's not for you to read" because it is out in the world, publicized, and marketed as a BL. People can recognize something as toxic and that is okay. It is toxic, from a real person's perspective, it is toxic. From a gay man's perspective, it is toxic. I am not saying you cannot enjoy your read, however, you blatantly ignoring it by saying "it's not for ya" is ignorant.

No one is saying that you cannot read this, but just because we call it out on its toxic themes does not mean we are saying "if you read this you're a bad person". It is criticism and VERY VALID, because it is correct. This goes far beyond "norms". Just because "he liked what was happening" does not make it toxic.

TL;DR: it's toxic, people point that out. you can enjoy this read all you want, however, the things you are saying are basically undermining the toxic themes.
