Yep, Mom, I'm Gay

A lot of people can really relate to this, I can too. I'm pansexual. Belonging to a Christian family, my grandparents, my mom and my uncles and aunts are homophobic. Even some of my cousins are. For them, it's a sin to love a person with the same gender. My younger cousin is bisexual, she's only 16 and I knew she dated a few people, both males and females. I feel bad so much whenever our family starts ranting about her relationships and sexuality and I just stay silent because I, myself is still closeted.

But I think she's so lucky to have a very understanding parent. My youngest aunt supports her as long as she knows her limits. She knew her daughter is on that stage where she discovers herself. I hope parents are like that too.

Its really difficult for gays to make other people understand, especially when your own family doesn't want to accept you or even understand you.

This story makes me cry and happy at the same time. It makes me brave, it gives me courage to come out and say something about my sexuality to other people. I hope it does the same to you too.
