me too but looks like they still keep in contact
My guess would be that they have been either put in different orphanages or into different families, even far away from their original parents/guardians, by the child welfare as soon as the authorities were contacted by the school. It would be difficult to keep in contact in these circumstances. I like to interpret it this way. I also like to believe that they never forgot about each other and will always remain their respective important friend now that they have the chance to contact each other.
Why wasn’t it longer, I’m so confused about the ending. Did they get together or not. It seems like they hadn’t seen each other for some time. Why?
