The webtoon showed different sides of love: one that is selfish (yul) and another that's selfless (yujin). If you hate something, you'll unconsciously turn into them. Yul was bullied and his parents' upbringing affected him. That's why he's like that. He never wanted to become one. Both the male leads were imperfect unlike most manhwas. Forgiveness is never easy and forgetting is a different story. This manhwa is probably one of the most realistic ones for me. They all had the best and beautiful character development. Commonly villains don't deserve a happy ending. It was always death or jail as their ending route. But for me turning into a worst person is already a punishment. Nobody wishes to become one. I do think it's not impossible for a person to change. Through forgiveness, giving a person another chance, self-realization and change, yul had a different ending, a happy ending. There was closure. Lastly, we never fight our battles alone. There will always be people in our lives, those who stayed and those that are permanent who will help us though not always and free us from the chains of our battles. But the one who will decide to step out from the dark prison is ourselves.
