Firstly, this chapter confirmed that Camilla is a slave, ad that this story is indeed washing down slavery. The part that really triggered me was the crusty dusty donald trumper who accused carmilla simply for being black- and he fucking assulted her IN BROAD DAYLIGHT, then had the nerve to sexually harrass and THEN offer her to be his prosititue- And that's not where it ends he put his moldy hands on her WHEN HE WAS IN THE WRONG- I hate that character with a burning passion, someone cut his life support asap.
I was supportive of their relationship until, ana said "she may be a slave but she is my friend" who the hell calls their friend a slave?? In front of their face at that- i don't cae if she was defending carmilla, i found that really fucked up. It also triggered me when she said "she is MY companion" As if she's claiming carmilla as her property or some shit- bestie your friends aren't YOUR companions, they're their own people.
I hate how the blacks don't get to wear nice and pretty clothes, for example carmilla has been seen wearing the same thing TWICE. My praise:
I think the character personalities are thought out well and very likable. I like how the plot was expanded without unnecary filler. I appreciate how regardless ana stood up for carmilla and didn't change her thoughts on her as a person throughout the story, i like how they can still talk about past memories and laugh together. I want carmilla to have a wake up call tho- to see some of the tuff ana says as she was defending her was offensive. I like how even the side characters are likable and we have a lot of focus on the main couple. Overall i would give this a 7.5/10 tbh this is one of the few gl's I've read with non basic personalities, and moments that i as a reader can laugh along with the characters. Author, i hope you read my cristism openly. Thank you for your time.
