I’m still confused on what exactly that is cause all I’ve heard is that it’s just bl with plot and no sec scenes but the bl I read are ones with plot that just so happen to have sex scenes what genere is that I’m confused at this point?

I don’t really seek ones with sex scene it’s really just a bonus but if it has it has it if it doesn’t than oh well

There's yaoi, which is bl with sex scenes, then there's shounen-ai, which is also bl but focused on the story/romance aspect the story over sex. There's a ton of good shounen-ai out there if you don't really read the sex scenes

shounen ai is bl without sex
yaoi is bl with sex
bl is boys’ love (in general)

bl and shounen are 2 different categories, yes. Bl is literally boyxboy while shounen is a genre aimed for young boys. It’d be different if you added ‘ai’ in the shounen tho.

ai means love and the literal translation of shounen is boy so you get, ‘boy love’

Hahaha well most bl stories have such plots, But if you read shounen ai, you won't find something like that, or you try other genre... Which one of the story is confusing you? I'm curious?

It wasn’t one in particular I just noticed in the recent ones I’ve been reading, the sex scenes were more of bother and I wanted story instead so I wanted clarification
