like this is probably the first time i ever felt this way for a bl comic’s conclusion, at least one that ive been so invested in. for bj alex and sign, i was punching pillows and whooping, but for this i just sat there lmao (thats also bc the tone was obviously very different, but it still strange nonetheless.)
Yeah- well, I binged lots of episodes but even tho I appreciate the God level story writing and art and everything....I won't be rereading cause it's too much mental strain.
As for the ending, I won't catagorize it as like warehouse's, they literally ignored all the shit while people in this one are more realistic (and not mentally ill) I like the ending no cap
yeah i was gonna say the same thing with the ending here. joowon and haesoo actually deal with both their parents and take a long break from each other before going back into a fresh new relationship because of all the baggage they carried around before. It’s a sensible ending, even if it leaves you feeling empty (for me it made me very happy)
i respect your opinion. but also: i dont see why joohae is so "shocking" personally. putting aside their push/pull jealousy games, they did nothing wrong except meet as teens and fall in love despite a piece of paper saying they cant. but you cant just control your feelings like that, and they both consented to their r/s from the start. they deserve to be together after all the shit their parents put them through, and made them feel like their love was worthless. like theyre not brothers, and havent been in over a decade, if thats what youre concerned abt.
and also joohae changed and improved from their personal flaws. they didn't just accept each other's bad qualities, and leave their relationship unhealthy as it was. joowon even says "going back to old times won't work with us either".
oh... um i did say that i was just putting things out there and not saying that it shouldnt happen. also, i wasnt shocked specifically at joowon either. i knew he liked him from the start. like, i understand everything they just went through, and knowing all that, i think i can be shocked when they can still go back on each other like that. im glad you respect my opinion, but pls also understand that i get why people would be happy abt it too. i also never claimed anyone to be a bad character. im just pretty lukewarm abt this and i expressed it as so, thats all :)
blurring out taku was a bit much but whatever ig.. im glad theyre happy but is anyone else feeling a little blank? like its resolved and it had good pacing but idk.. i didnt even want haesoo to end up with taku either... this ending gave me the same feeling of warehouse- if that makes any sense. like, i understand the nature of their relationship, but the story just doesnt feel fully fulfilled??
but thats also fine bc if i was the author i wouldnt even know what to do. this was some heavy shit.
just putting my two cents in. (not trying to start anything either)
[you can move on from this point bc ill get into more of my personal feelings with this story]
for the longest time, i avoided the updates for this comic and multiple times too. at first, it was fun. then it just became taxing to read at times. i suppose the ending the author gave just wasn’t satisfactory to the emotional strain it caused (for me at least), so that might explain my slight disappointment. (ive been in this game since the beginning anyway.) the emotional investment was real with this one. weird to see something that i started reading in a whole different school and grade end at a completely different stage of my life.
