Am I the only one angry at the aunt and uncle?

I'm not saying that they should have adopted Aki, but actually TELLING HIM that they were thinking about adopting him and DECIDED NOT TO because they didn't want him to be embarrassed by their small business??? What is their PROBLEM!?

It's fine that they didn't want to adopt him, for physical, emotional or financial reasons. It's okay for them not to want kids. But you don't tell a neglected child that you're looking out for them by not giving them a warm, loving home. YOU KEEP THAT BULL TO YOURSELF. You do NOT tell the KID that they are not worth adopting, ESPECIALLY when that kid is NOT ACTUALLY IN AN ORPHANAGE.

Guess what, aunt and uncle? That kid you didn't want to "burden" with your family business? WENT INTO DEBT TO SAVE IT. You didn't do a damned thing but enforce his belief that no one will ever want him. (╯°Д °)╯╧╧

However, if you are someone who is always true to yourself, aren't you closer to your ideal self than anyone else in the world? I don't need someone else to tell me that I'm "not ideal," because if they're goin... DarkeAOU

It was a Reddit post nothing more nothing less. And it’s the fact that you guys were arguing over such a tiny problem that we were eating popcorn. It’s kind of like a “it’s finally not me” when there’s drama. Why else do people watch 90 Day Fiancé or Real House Wives? It’s because of the baseless drama and the people on screen have that you as a viewer don’t have at that moment.
I remember when I was little my older brother and sister were fighting about something and they started hurling insults at each other and my first thoughts were: “since it’s not me..” I just decided to sit on the kitchen counter and watch actually wishing I had popcorn to enjoy the show with.
And when it comes to the aunt and uncle I do agree it was pretty pathetic that they didn’t want him to inherit a factory that was slowly going out of business and chose not to adopt him for that reason. But I think it was strictly the uncle that said that. However, even I think the uncle could’ve gotten the land appraised and sold for inheritance money it later on depending on his pride if he didn’t want Akihiro to be as he said “pitiful” after all the way he put it he made it seem like the thing wasn’t his pride and joy until Aki and Kyle (Taiga) grew up. The aunt however I like more than the uncle because she was supportive of the fact that Taiga and Aki were gay and sadly the uncle was pretty oblivious til the very end.

At precisely which point did I claim you told me that I have nothing of value to say? (⊙…⊙ ) I only gave you an example of two methods of discussion. I will rephrase.Suppose I make an observation in a com... DarkeAOU

Bro okay I appreciate your attempt at being civil about this whole thing and not throwing insults or swear words around (albeit being A BIT passive aggressive).

I admittedly commented on your thread without a second thought but never did it to pick a fight. The chill pill part was never to disagree with your opinion about the auntie and uncle, just to react to the whole 3 paragraphs that you wrote about a tiny part of the plot that the author probably didn't think too much about. The meme that I posted on the other hand... yeah, I was being a troll.

However, to "just a person commenting on my state of mind when they neither know me, my thoughts, nor my feelings"... I mean isn't that obvious though? That's the whole point of an anonymous site? I don't know you, I can't read your mind, and we're probably thousands of miles apart. I admit I didn't "thoroughly consider [your] feelings" but you posted this thread and therefore made it welcome to "unsought advice" like all other threads posted to this site. Like I said in my previous reply, I don't have to ask for your permission. (All words in " " are taken from what you said.)

So to summarize my points because it seems like we're in debate club right now and I have to be very clear about everything I say:
    - In my reply with "chill pill", I was never trying to pick a fight nor disagree with your opinion about the auntie and uncle.
    - In my reply with the meme, I was being immature and kind of a troll.
    - I obviously did not know you or your state of mind because A) this is an anonymous site and B) I can't read minds.
    - Even though you never asked for my opinion, you posting this thread made the "reply" button available... and so I did.

Man but honestly reading all of this is making me crave popcorn. Probably shouldn't have added fuel to the fire but I've never been in a confrontation in real life, so this is kind of a "might as well try it while I have the chance" type of situation. If you're getting tired DarkeAOU, I'm willing to wave a white flag and surrender. If anyone else wants to start a *pretend* internet fight with me, hit me up.
