hope im not too late lol but here are some random ideas i thought of that would be a parallel to our universe but some things changed
- the matriarchy is dominant (could be gender roles swapped, or perhaps you could write about what differences our society would have if mostly women were in charge)
- genghis khan succeeded in conquering every continent, therefore we no longer live in a world that's eurocentric
- humans live in the sea and we're exploring the land (like how we are exploring the ocean in our universe)
-dolphins evolved into sentient beings like how we evolved from monkeys, and there are two different kinds of sentient beings sharing a planet
