lol um i don’t think that’s how it works...
He knew they would get caught just then. Even if he told her to leave, rumors would spread regardless of if the maid saw who, and eventually she may get exposed and it would ruin her reputation which he didn't want. By biting her like that she has the excuse she was attacked.
