That's why it is a female rather than a male. You said it yourself, "women are nastier than men when love is to be concerned." Rokuro may not notice his feelings now if it was a male, because he is still in the "do everything he can to get out of marrying and having a child" set of mind. He doesn't think of Benio romantically, yet, so a male rival would be pointless.
True, but still I'm always a bit scared, I mean like:" I hope the athor doesn't mess up. I hope it won't be too much or too exaggerated or doen't boring, tiring. I hope the third party will give up after watching their current relationship (only said when the two mc are to get together or together)". I'm too much of a romantist!!! But I know they will be together so it's ok XD
Yeah. Remember, a few chapters back, their child stated "this was the first battle my parents had together." So they will get together. We just need to see the process. At the moment, their relationship is running around in circles.
