umm there are famous mangakas where you could read most of their works but it depends on your taste

Hmm...if you are fairly new to yaoi then I suggest you start with the typical Famous ones ruling over BL kingdom, like - Junjou Romantica, Sekaiichi Hatsukoi, Katekyo, Hidoku Shinaide, Love Stage etc. In that case, 勇気 (Yuuki)'s "The Essentials - BL" list might be of help to you - http://www.mangago.zone/home/mangalist/17721/
I also suggest you starting with the cuter, sweeter, mellow ones that are soft on the heart as there are some BL with extremely dark & disturbing contents among other ones.
