They had some attraction in their past life, and had they spent more time together, they probably would’ve fallen in love. He’s the ML so obviously they’re gonna end up together in this timeline.
Rias is only two or three years older than she is. His about the same age as her brother robert, who like 3 years older. As for the world, it's a blend of different eras. It also has some magic and heavy religious overtones running through it. So if you focus too much on the world it will confuse you. But don't worry, Rias is not a pedophile, but he is the ML. Also it might be a bit confusing because both Rias and Lippie have memories of each other, from their first timeline, and they keep jumping back and forth with their memories of then. So it shows them grown up at the same time they are children. I hope that helped you out a bit.

Also what exact era is this taking place on, they had victorian era esque dresses but they also have some kinda risque looks and the child literally looks like shes going to an mcr concert. they have really good equipment for victorian era (Im guessing they fill this plot hole by saying magic) also harlem??? Genuinely concerned right now bc what the hell are they implying with harlemnites just say a damn bar or a tavern I just I really want to understand what this world is but im so confused
