religious trauma? this is the first time i heard something like this, can you explain i little if you are comfortable?

SORRY IM GETTING TO THIS LATE, but religious trauma can come from a lot of things but my personal trauma from it was being forced into the church while also being hated in it and being told that i was going to hell for being lgbtq, since for a while i WAS religious i took those things to heart, it can rlly hurt your self confidence and esteem and make you feel hopeless for your self identity and it rlly broke me for a while. i’ll paste the real definition down here: “Religious or spiritual trauma is a form of psychological abuse and brainwashing that inculcates the shameful message that we are sinful and must live in a constant state of penance and atonement to escape the ravages of hell and God's punishment.”
