Mmm it's really hard when jumping to conclusions about certain characters but fortunately we did get an explanation as to why he "neglected" her per say. Basically the emperor was justa ruler in name and wasn't good, a pussy if you would think. now when a war(?) broke out, the FLs father became the hero and won the war, but with this, the emperor gained control of the Father (he was jealous that the Father was known as a hero and the Emperor was just a wussy who didn't do anything, so a lot of people were supporting the father more so he used FL as a weakness that if he ever goes against the Emperor's bidding, yk theyre gna kill the FL). It's really to misunderstand and this comment just kinda clears that up bc i really think the her Father's story needs to pan out more (￣∇￣")
