Exactly! It pisses me off when people call her dumb. I like nocton but I think he is the dumb one. He never confined to her and the lack of communication is on his part not hers she has always told him what she wanted and what she felt
When she wanted him to call her by her name she told him and pestered him for years and he never explained anything

Give me a break, she was treated as a toy, and the only reason she clung to their friendship was that she wanted to survive. The only reason it looks like a friendship is because she said it was. There was never any trust to begin with. Don't even get me started with the people who are "Annoyed with the FL" or "I'm tired of the "bad" misunderstandings". Sure, we're all here for the romancing, but not every story has the ark of a cinderella. Misunderstandings happen, and it is understandable in this case. What are you guys going to argue next, that the FL is dumb? Isn't the only reason why we know the ML is good is that we're seeing two perspectives, and people can be oblivious to the small hints regarding romance. Heck, I've seen a guy stick to this friend of mine at school and she thinks he's just lonely when I'm 150% sure he likes her. Just because he feels a little heartache or that she's feeling a little heartache doesn't mean either side is a douche, although I would say in this case, the ML needs some serious re-educating about how to treat people as people.
