It didn’t appear that they were In prison. Louis and Barcroft (I forgot the name but I mean sherlocks brother) we’re having a conversation and he said “ The Moriarty family, like my Holmes family, has become a family that bears the crime and punishment of Britain for a long time.” So I don’t think they are in prison but they are now more similar to the Holmes family. BUTTTT when the oldest brother and Barcroft were speaking Barcroft said something about Imprisonment and Albert said something about replacing his brother. Moran has been missing since that day but the rest of them are fine. So the oldest brother might be in prison it’s kinda confusing so I’m not really sure. And Lewis seems like he is taking over for his brother or he’s doing something for Barcroft

Ok so basically In chapter 55 Sherlock and William fall off a cliff and at the end it is suspected that they are dead. However in chapter 56 we see that their families had funerals for them, fortunately at the end of the chapter we see Sherlock and William (although no explicitly said) but it’s pretty obvious it’s them but basically they both have different hair cuts now.
