I think the reason she wore it was because of her Father who taught her that it was something to help keep herself in control. But after he died I think she just used it as like a fashion piece / remembrance piece.
I think it wasn’t really to control her powers she wore it to get back to her human form of I remember correctly ╮(￣▽￣)╭
she no longer wore the crown after the father's death because it no longer made her take human form
Seeing her lose control just reminded me about the crown of thorns she used to wear literally for that reason, she was also wearing it in that prologue scene, why did she stop wearing it’s
