Well, judging from the story so far, I don't think they'd make it boring. Interestingly enough, there currently seem be several mutually contradictory hints, so I'm really curious how this ultimately pans out.
And me too, I want our cute MC to be safe, no killing him off please （/TДT)/ ...though I've been thinking, if this becomes as popular as it seems to be becoming, and a lot of fans come over, esp. from the rec in POTN, the author may have no choice. Seriously, some of the POTN fans can be downright *scary*
