Idk why everyone’s pissed about the “uke wanting the ex’s approval”. Have y’all SEEN the harassment the ex was capable of??? The ex wouldn’t take no for an answer, wouldn’t leave people alone, doesn’t respect personal boundaries, endless calls, etc.. I’m near certain that the uke wanted to protect the seme from that type of harassment and have someone else take the hit (which is sorta a dick move but understandable for the seme’s well-being) or shut down the ex permanently, cuz the ex threatened to continue his harassment if he didn’t “approve” the new boyfriend. Keep in mind the seme still has social anxiety (or some form of it) which further drove the uke’s actions.
Also adding that even if the ex didn’t explicitly threaten to continue his harassment, it was heavily implied through his actions. The uke’s fear for the seme’s safety was well-founded.
This is so obvious I'm confused as to how persons missed it...but then so many readers have difficulty in recognising assault and harassment of varying kinds that I suppose this isn't surprising.
