I really like ‘childhood friends to lovers’ as a ship dynamic but I completely agree with you about Takeo’s way of handling things, while I’m totally head over heels for Wakou.
I remember that in the main storyline right after being indirectly rejected by Ao, Takeo made an ambiguous phone call to Wakou, without really saying anything. I don’t want Takeo to use baby Wakou as a rebound because Ao didn’t like him back :(

what??? I've not read the first story but that just sucks. I hope something happen like Wakou makes some sort of space between them saying something in the line that "I've always been running towards you but now that youve shown some positive respond, it was out of curiosity...I'd rather us stay as childhood friends" so that Takeo would open his eyes. I hope some third party would come in and take interest in Wakou so that Takeo could really sort out his feelings. Sheesh

Wakou is too precious to be treated as a rebound tbfh. Takeo seems like he was curious on the other lane so he wanna try it out and he picked Wakou bc he thought he was "ok". But the type of "ok" was not bc of love. It was more of "I've known him since he was little. It's better trying out guys on him bc I know him"....well this was some thoughts that I had for the first 2 chaps. I hope something really happens in the next chapss

I'll cry if this happens, imagine the panels showing wakou crying. I couldn't handle that because I'd cry too.

Yeah, my first impression was the same as yours and it was not good... it looks like takeo cares about wakou not in a romantic sense but he wanna try to date him to not lose him, but doing this their relationship will probably be compromised for good anyway...
