Hmm....have you tried the "Dear Green" series by Fujiyama Hyouta? It's actually a yaoi with shounen ai elements predominating. And unlike typical yaoi, the sex/physical attraction dosen't rule over the story. Check it out if you haven't yet -

For something rated a 9.2, I'm really surprised I haven't stumbled across it yet. But now I'll read it! A long more story based yaoi would be a good change of pace from all of the one shot "trip-whoops-I'm-in-love" yaoi I've been reading.

Ah...I am glad that you haven't read it yet. I used to avoid Fujiyama Hyouta's work at 1st when I just started reading yaoi. But, when I gave 1 of her mangas a try, I became quite addicted to her slice of life, slow paced BL style. TBH, "Dear Green" is one of my Ultimate & All time favs due to it's unique circumstances, amazing character build up & story development. I also like how it keeps changing it's timeline giving me a glimpse of the couple's entire life.
Hope it lives up to your expectations & sorry for the rant. I tend to get over excited when it comes to my favs ^^''
