Miura represents how quite a significant number of fujoshi think about themselves being fujoshi so I thought it was a good representation of how a large portion of young fujoshi (remember she is a young fujoshi, she still counts as a teenager not an adult) may think or feel, even if they aren't as verbal about it. It feels like her character is basically to point out to some people that maybe they unconciously had the same thoughts and to learn it's bad
that is a good point and i completely agree with you for YOUNG fujoshi. the question then lies in what age group was this series targeted to? the topics in my opinion are quite dark for someone who is too young to notice how miura's actions are annoying and makes you uncomfortable when watching her. but i agree that not having her realize her actions were wrong is bad and that paired with the heavy themes explored in the story, i think perhaps it's trying to get older fujoshi that acted this way before to reflect and hopefully help educate the younger ones instead :/c thanks for pointing that out.
there are definitely other stories that handle the same heavy topics and develop their characters better, but i think people shit on this one a lot harder than it deserves
I mean this whole thing with fujoshis being oppressed, “god is a fujoshi” and whatever that means, and the guy who was being actively homophobic and awful to be let off with a apology is just bad. It has its moments but honestly it’s just bad representation.
