because he knew her when she was a minor. she grew up with him around, practically making them siblings to her. she didnt think of him that way and he almost wedged himself in her life. i dont know if id consider it pedophilia bc as far as i know he wasnt making advances when she was a minor, but it is definitely grooming, which is in no any way shape or form okay. hope this helped !
