What’s your take on the Mikasa and Eren ship? People are saying it’s “finally Canon” but I don’t get it. It’s not like Eren has ever told Mikasa he loved her, I mean he does care about her but he also cared about Jean and Connie and he ended turning them into Mindless Titans in the end. And that little clip that shows Mikasa and Eren together is not and alternative ending I mean it is a little but it’s not something they both wanted it’s something that Mikasa wanted. Wether Eren loves Mikasa romantically remain ambiguous to me, and I feel like people are pushing the shipping like if it’s gonna happen let it happen don’t push it
It was a super brave move for her. She did all that knowing she's not completely gonna live peacefully immediately without Eren, who was a constant figure in her life.. until all that.. anyways

I don't ship Mikasa and Eren at all. But people can ship whoever they want! The shippers that you described don't sound like the decent(not a ship pusher) shipper. And also, Eren made it clear before that he doesn't see Mikasa as a romantic parter, but rather, a family. He even insulted her for being an ackerman, who was just like a dog, tf? I don't see any romance in that :/.. I agree that the small clip looked like mikasa's fantasy, not the both of them. I also don't agree that they are "finally canon" just because of, what, Mikasa kissed Eren? She kissed Eren goodbye, and Eren is deadass. If he were alive, he'd probably not kiss back. So I see no canon kiss there, rather, a canon kiss goodbye to whatever I have with you. Thank you.

Anyway you look at it, Eren does care about Mikasa and wants to protect her romantically or not that's why he insulted her, he didn't want her to get attached to him bc yk...this would happen . As for Mikasa, yeah she does have romantic feelings and I agree ppl do push it w the ship, well to me it's half half. Well...It doesn't rly matter to me rly, Mikasa is doing it for herself now and HER desire rather than for the "Ackerman" stuff as shown from the scarf she put back on. idk if this makes sense but that's how I think abt it

Honestly the one thing I can't view them as is "family" because Mikasa..well If she viewed him as family why would she wanna kiss him and/or blush around him. As for Eren..I also think he doesn't view her as family just someone really special to him because from the last panel we can see they BOTH ran away together (in a dream) just the two (excluding Armin)
But it was Mikasa’s dream not Eren’s because Eren’s dream as macabre as it seems is to be free which what the whole manga is about him being able to achieve his freedom no matter what (which is what is happening)
They are a family, since Mikasa also grew up with Eren's family.. But it is for sure that Mikasa sees Eren as more.
That’s not what I meant by family, I meant as in how they view each other not literal. Also No way he sees Mikasa as a family like “sister” there’s just no way he does not saying he views her romantically, to me Atleast, she’s just someone very special to him (romantically or not)

Wow. I mean I kind of like it because it fits Eren, he stayed true to his belief that true freedom is achieved by being able to do whatever you desire be it moral or immoral. Although I do hate it that Jean and Connie are mindless titans that sucked. And fucking Mikasa finally she’s fucking free, it’s like all this time she’s just been following Eren and Armin but mostly Eren and I feel like she finally stood up for what she believed, because from the beginning she knew that the genocide Eren was committing was wrong but she didnt do anything about it because in my opinion it felt like she was in denial and she couldn’t quite grasp and believe that the person she loved was committing such acts and then BAM! like the bad bitch she is, she grew a pair and did what most people would consider morally right
