yes it's important for authors to do so but they should portray rape in a much more important matter. not just so willy nilly. this story does not emphasize on rape whatsoever. he gets raped and then boom! it's like nothing happened. if the author really wanted to emphasize on it they wouldn't have just passed it off like nothing. ( ̄へ ̄)
I agree there definitely needs to be a talk about that and I think/hope that is what will happen in the next few chapters, I don’t believe the author will ignore the issue. I don’t even think the Duke understood that he raped him until this chapter (in those days royalty didn’t bat an eye about taking advantage of others). but its unfair to continue to read the story if it upsets you and then bash the author when it’s super easy to stop reading.
i see a lot of people complaining about there being rape in this story. i definitely understand that this may trigger some people. if it does trigger you it is best to drop the story, but please do not hate on the authors work. rape is a serious topic and it is important for authors to write about it to emphasize how much it happens in real life.
