I think the same way in this chapter he didn’t understand a phrase Minjun used that maybe he’s not fully fluent or that Minjun uses slang that he doesn’t know. So in that previous chapter Minjun probably also used an uncommon phrase or slang so he truthfully didn’t understand in that moment.
