My thoughts exactly, some people take depression way too lightly. In the state that he's in interacting with Byul might be more harmful than good
right! children are perceptive and byul would be able to notice that hye-sung isn’t himself. it’s more realistic/responsible to not be around an impressionable kid while in a negative emotional state
people who are hating on hye-sung for wanting to be alone and not seeing byul really don’t know how depressive episodes work and it shows. he literally just went through a traumatic experience while interacting with his asshole father again plus had memories of his abusive past resurface. it’s completely understandable for him to not be in the right mental state to be 100% attentive to his child. and it’s not like byul is being neglected. if anything it would be better for hye-sung to get well emotionally and care for himself before he even attempts to care for a whole child, so he can give byul the parenting he deserves.
