I think Demian wanted to marry her off bc that's always been her wish. You know, find the perfect husband. She didn't want to learn and Women back then only existed to me married off and the 'purer' the better, it's sick.
Yeah, but what pisses me off is that he keeps on belittling her just because she's a girl. I know that he's just trying to protect her but for me it was too overboard.
i dont think he belittled her because she was a "girl" i think he belittled her because of the way she is, her personality, and how weak she is (the heaviest thing she carried was a spoon) but i bet she'll change hes mind once she strengthens her body and mind
Demian should stop being so misogynistic, I know that he was just trying to do his job but sometimes I feel like he's going a bit overboard. And not to mention, there are chapters where he belittles Claudia. I also hate the fact that Demian and Claudia's brother just wanted to marry her off, like dude she's not an object or something.
