Well, they don’t earn money from this. They do it for us mere peasants to be able to read the works on the language we understand. Don’t throw such words as “hypocritical”, please. Moreover, those translations help rising the popularity of the work, spreading it across a huge english speaking audience (at least on mangago), which would be possible if it was not translated. And also they encourage some people to buy the original works and support the authors. While mangago earns money from the ads on the site. But at the same time i think they need the money to maintain the webpage, because as far as I know it’s not a free thing...but maybe i’m mistaken. Sorry for a long massage lol
I know they don't do it for money but what they do isn't legal, so them getting on a soapbox about where their illegal translations are hosted _IS_ hypocritical. Sorry if it bothers people when someone speaks truthfully. Don't get me wrong I'm thankful translation groups exist, but when they start preaching about "don't read this here, don't download this there" I kind of go ¬_¬ really? They're illegally translating stuff, they can't be making demands of the audience where they choose to read this material. Just my two cents.
Love how the translators are like "Mangago is so evil and makes all this money!" and they're basically illegally translating an artist's work and disseminating it over the internet for free. Stop being hypocritical.
