i agree with everything except the one about charlottes obsession with the duke, since peoe do even more crazier things in the name of "love"
i guess thats true but like he killed her, lancelot, her family, her house all for politics and now even after offering her soul to become a princess and offer him every possible thing he could want he still shuns her. And its not like she didnt have options around she had the ML who was simping over her the whole time. I could buy it if they showed why she is so attatched to him but we have seen 0 charm or anything to make us understand why she likes that prick. If you are going to make a character who is crazily obsessed with another at least explain what sparked that obsession.
There's a chapter where the real "charlotte?" is being mocked/feared by others because she's strong and wields a sword, they were calling her monster and stuff and then the red haired dude comes to her and goes "she doesn't seem like a monster, she seems like any other girl"-something along that line. And when charlotte hears that she blushes indicating she's happy?- That's where she starts liking him but honestly she's foolish for continuing to like someone who ruined her life and to fucking try to change for him and follow him-(╯°Д °)╯╧╧ she's dumb as fuck ┑(￣Д ￣)┍
thanks for pointing that out i really forgot this ever happened! you would think "I killed your whole family and ruined your noble house" would trump " hey come on guys be nice" in terms of effecting her affection level but oh well I guess manga logic.
Its a fun ride but tbh sometimes the writing feels like it was written by a teenager or something. like there are a lot of weird plot holes and the characters logic dosnt make a lot of sense. like how is charlotte possibly still obsessed with the duke? How come all the nobles are just ok with demon shit but also it somehow matters to not fight the emperor even though they have the super op arch mage on their side? Why even have a huge fight and publicly disclose the demonic involvement at a engagement party if the goal was just to have a chat? Idk i like the story but sometimes I just think the logic of the characters is really silly ╮(￣▽￣)╭
