hi so this is a question for Chinese speaking individuals, I’m reading a machine translation a novel and a character was asked if he was made of ink. What does this saying mean. I know to be made of water means to cry a lot but I’m confused with the ink one, please help.

    I'm Chinese, but I've never heard of that saying, but I would assume to be educated since ink is associated with reading and writing.
