She craves more than she already has. Her brother is around the same age as her and he was quick to realize what was going on. Anthy wasn't aware of what's happening right now and despite of her maturity she's handling it like a true leader.

omfg no. having common sense isn’t going to help her at this moment. she can’t tell when people are manipulating her because her surroundings have always been manipulated. jeanette isn’t greedy in the sense of “she craves for more than she already has.” she is a young girl that has been told lies since day one to be manipulated. she is a young girl that has only had contact with a few select people up until the debutante ball.
jeanette was raised thinking her father was the current king and that athanasia is her sister. the duke has been dangling this over her, out of reach, for practically all her life. she craves family. not because she’s greedy but because it’s the one thing she lacks. she probably wasn’t shown any affection by the duke and his son, seeing as when we first met them he was actively trying to get away from jeanette. and the little alpheus, yeah he’s quick on the uptake because he hasn’t been manipulated in the way she was. and let’s face it, penelope (her mother) would’ve done the same. and her biological father is doing that right now from the moment he started preying on her want for family.
and anthy is playing the role of a leader because she’s good at playing roles. she’s lived 2(or is it 3?) previous lives that have aided her in trying to survive. she’s already lived a life where she was accused of attempting to kill jeanette and she was killed. she now knows how to react in a manner that will help her look like she owns the throne and save herself as well as her father.
