I really hope he keeps his morals about no illicit sexual relationships...

But he needs to get serious here - talk to her about it, explain why he wants to keep their relationship pure and what she is to him, and then show her affection in other ways so she can be on the same page and know she is cherished even if they don't. I, too, hope to see this go all the way... to the altar, ideally.
