It’s so interesting in this day and age how it’s a legit belief, in Japan at least, that people with a light colored iris are weak to bright light. I’ve seen this regularly over the years

    is it because Japan misunderstands that albinism (which usually entails extremem paleness, near white hair, and either red or blue-ish eyes) and having fair features (pale hair, pale eyes, pale skin) are the same when they are in fact not? I have light sensitivity (in my eyes) but I'm dark-skinned and have almost black eyes (super dark brown)

    Interesting. They’re so many worldwide misconceptions, like thinking you’ll get sick if you get wet in the rain. I go with the saying “You aren’t made of sugar. You won’t melt.”
