depending on the popularity maybe?
it was never a public choice. it was the producers who decides. they pitch anime/live action ideas and contact the mangaka that have the story that interests them. usually they do feasibility studies so being popular also has weight, but not all the time.
Hey!! Maybe most of you know the answer but I was just wondering, how do the editors ( or producers and else) decide when a manga ( specially BL manga) get an anime? Or maybe is it à public choice? Or depends on how interesting the plot is?
