Okay so uhm the general gist of it is: They met because one day, akito 'protected' ryou from a bully and at night they met each other in a grocery store. Akito invited ryou over to their house to eat but it was burnt. So to his and his sister's surprise, ryou was happily eating the burnt hamburger with (happy) tears running from his eyes. This was due to the fact that he was very lonely with no one else by his side to share a meal with. When ryou was about to leave, he hugged akito saying that he need not hide his feelings anymore and this caused akito to literally breakdown crying. This was the start of their friendship. Everything was going well up until an unfortunate incident happened. While they were running away from the bullies, ryou hit his head on concrete which caused him to go into a coma and have selective amnesia. Akito blamed himself because he believes that he was the one who did all that to ryou, and so he decided that he will be protecting him from anything and everything moving forward.

If you remember the 'fight' with Sora, something in ryou's brain was triggered causing him to remember everything that happened. Akito then explained that he was protecting ryou because of the promise. This caused ryou to think that everything they had (friendship, the bentos, the kind gestures) was all a lie but Akito cut him off saying that the 'promise' he kept talking was just a facade of sorts and that in reality he actually adored ryou.

Fast forward a little, they decide to go back to their secret base, this time with their new friends. I guess in a way this is a way to symbolize that they've moved on and are now starting a new journey of sorts.


P. S. I tried explaining as best as I can but sadly I'm not the best with words so if there's smth you still don't understand I'd be happy to keep explaining:)) Also, this was very long ugh im sorry T-T

Uhm if u dont mind, can you like explain to me the part where they have sex and then ryou said good night and akito woke up? I was very confused by that part(⊙…⊙ )

Okay not gonna lie I'm a lil confused about that too but from how I see it, those sex scenes are Akito's dreams. You can see that the sex in those parts are very rough and you can also see akito saying "sorry" right? Well the Ryou in that dream is basically a manifestation of how Akito thinks he should be treated (because he feels guilty for hurting Ryou and so he is being punished). Such is also the reason why Ryou seems a little more violent/savage(?) in the dreams.

May be wrong on this one so I'm open to ideas and corrections but yeah, that's how I understand ittt:))

And omg it's fineee, no need to worry!! I wouldn't have replied if I didn't want to in the first placeee. Glad I could shed some light on the story xD
