People's taste differ? They don't like things different? The art?

I guess it's ultimately because people have different tastes, but it's pretty sad when a manga that isn't even all that bad gets lower than an 8.0 rating.
And a lot of people are hating on the 2nd story for some reason, and apparently they're not keeping their opinions very respectful at all. There was a comment where someone said they liked the 2nd story more than the first and it had 8 down votes. I felt sorry for whoever wrote that - they were also simply putting their own respectable opinion out there and yet their opinion was bashed on. I also find nothing wrong with the 2nd or first story.
That's good, I was mostly referring to many of the comments that were insulting the manga. I mean, it IS their own opinions, but some of them expressed their dislike for the story in quite rude ways. :) It just upsets me when they forget the feelings of the mangaka (even though she/he may not even see these comments.) especially when the mangaka meant no harm while making her/his story.

I was surprised to see the low rating as well. I thought this was a great read one of my faves tbh.
Because of the second story, probably.
Personally the second story didn’t register with me too much (I really liked the first), but I feel that the rating is still not deserved. I think these two stories (especially the 2nd one) could've been seperate series so that they could be elaborated better. They both have potential to be great, it's just the stories felt limited to only this much, and so it feels less great than what it should be.
I'm genuinely confused by:
1) The relatively low rating this manga has.
2) The comments saying this manga is "weird."
I get that it's not your usual yaoi manga - it's not so bright and happy, and it doesn't follow the regular yaoi storyline, but the manga isn't messed up or depressed, nor does it have as confusing a storyline as many other stories do.
I'm not even angry that some people found these stories strange and gave the manga a crappy rating, I'm just.... genuinely confused because I honestly don't see anything out of the ordinary at all....
