It's a bit confusing at first, and will be for a while. You might need to read a couple times. But they're short chapters. It's a great artstyle and you can see the artist grow through it as well. The story is amazing, but once again a bit confusing here and there. It's a great plot and great characters. I quickly becamse invested. Just make note of the fact that in the main chapters they are in middle school. Some chapters are from future moments, but the main is during middle school.
