Yeah they’re two beings that are separated from each other that’s why when Rin was alive she knows that she is actually related to the Two gods (the light and darkness) and her other fragments was scatterd throughout the universe and in order for them (Rin/Erin) to become a God once again she need to collect omall those fragments of her, thats why Rin travel trhough different dimensions (also possible where the past Erin lived) that’s maybe why Erin now when Reincarnated again have a bit of different personality than Rin since she’s in another dimension.
Anyhow Erin’s Grandfather/Brother actually stated that through tales before he change Erin into a baby. That her granddaughter was actually her Sister who got punished by God of creation
