I agree with you but I wouldn’t use the word « internalized » since it’s just straight up homophobia. Usually we use the term « internalized homophobia » to separate the directly homophobic people (who insult the LGBT and mistreat them) from those who support / don’t mind LGBT but still have bias because of their education or the media.
Yes, Taehwan has some internalized homophobia but above all he is being hateful. He could have kept his prejudice for him at least
I am aware that he is being homophobic in general but I was specifically referring to him not being able to accept that he is gay and his negative feelings surrounding that. They mentioned that he was getting bullied for that, thus in my view this is not homophobia towards others but homophobia towards himself that he projects on to others. Projection being a defense mechanism towards things we view as "threats". I'm not a professional but that's my thinking on it.
I hope all that internalized homophobia Taehwan is projecting on to him comes back to bite him in the worst way possible. It's not like he doesn't have the money for therapy and he still chooses to be a dick (눈‸눈)
