As far as I know that in ancient times they used to speak Korean but to write in Chinese. I'm not sure how much of this is true, but this what they keep mentioning in the Korean drama series and stories such this one
technically they are in another world in a medieval era. The probably use a language that doesn't exist here or a European language.
I think the language or the words they use are like similar to korean. Only the letters they use are different.
