Hwa is a pure blood not a female, and they don’t need to take the pills since they are both Lycans
Im not sure if Im 100% correct but this is just from what I understood. Being a female lycan has nothing to do with lineage and if a lycan gives birth their offspring can be either male or female much like humans. It’s just that their human forms can be different. In chap 11 when Hwagok got kidnapped the kidnappers said that Hwagok was a female lycan but his human form is male. Regarding the experiment, Gok is a lycan but is now also a vampire which should be impossible but was because his lycan blood was diluted and Lee Bin’s blood entered his body when he bit Gok so this made pregnancy with them possible and the pills he took was for developing his uterus which he already had since he was a female lycan. As for Hwa and Seolhyun, as I said, their genders aren’t because of their lineage so Hwa is actually a male lycan while Seolhyun is a female lycan. Seolhyun thought he was male because he got his memories altered by the white haired dude ( sorry i forgot his name). I hoped this helped although my explanation was quite confusing. (●'◡'●)ﾉ

I'm really confused with season 1 and season 2. From what I remember on season 1, Gok is from a"female" lycan line. He is a "female" lycan even though he's male. "Female" lycan can mark there partner. Gok became pregnant because of the experiment not because he is a "female".
Now on the first part of season 2, Hwa is from a "female" line. So I assume that he is also a "female" like his mom. He marked Seolhyun when they were young. Seolhyun's brother is "female", Seolhyun is "male" and they were raised to be paired when they grow up.
Around chapter 70ish or 80ish, Seolhyun's brother became "male". Seolhyun was the one that marked Hwa. Seolhyun was "female". And you can get pregnant even without the experiment that Gok took on season 1.
Can someone please explain the "female" concept thingamajig, and who in the hell is female and male. I kinda understand it on season 1 but I really got confused on season 2.
