I'm sorry but isn't the first rule of any fantasy world to NEVER TRUST THE ENEMY, like you know the temple is you're enemy and dangerous but you still accept them with open arms and basically leave yourself open to exposure. Just live up to the damn rumour and chase off the new teacher, damn like changing completely like that is also an indicator that you might be an imposter.
