If you haven't already, you should check out Shimanami Tasogare. It's a healthy LGBTQ+ manga that explores the issues that come with being LGBTQ+ it's quite short too!

It's because it comes from female creators, not to say that there aren't any who are able to write a positive lgbtq+ story, but it doesn't equal the BEST (realistic) results. Basically look for manga created by gay men, they're point of view is more trusted when it comes to realism for obvious reasons.
*This is when I back-track and realize that most authors either keep their general info hidden or lie about that info (e.g. gender) due to how looked down lgbtq+ topics are, and to protect their safety*
